Welcome to Rock View Vets
quality veterinary care as individual as your pet
HELLO, I’M FIONA RAWLINGS THE PRACTICE OWNER AT ROCK VIEW VETS
In a changing world where veterinary practices are often owned by large business chains we pride ourselves on being a small, independently owned practice where traditional customer care and dedication to patient well-being are our top priorities. Book an appointment today and come and see for yourself.
We have had another busy month at Rock View! Our K Laser is proving quite a hit among the Cornish community - and beyond!! For those of you who haven't heard of this revolutionary, non-invasive therapy you need to read on...
As part of Rabbit and Guinea pig month, we want to raise awareness of a dangerous and often fatal condition called “Flystrike”. Rabbits are susceptible to unwanted attention from flies, especially in warmer weather.

Fiona and all the staff there are just brilliant they took care of our old Labby throughout his long illness and gave him the best possible treatment right until it was time to say goodbye. I cannot speak highly enough of everyone at Rock View.
Fiona is without a doubt the most amazing and caring vet ever - and I especially love and appreciate the care and attention she gives to small animals. She is my Supervet! Her and the amazing, caring team go so far above and beyond to help everyone and their pets in any way they can. You can tell that she really cares about the animals like no other vet that I have ever met. Thank you so much Fiona and everyone at Rock View for every single thing. I can not recommend Fiona enough. So much love and thanks to you all xxxx
I cannot thank Fiona and her wonderful team enough for taking care of my dogs. Especially my 16yr old, who recently had a dental. Since having a tooth removed, Millie is a much happier, less grumpy old lady! We had been to a few vets prior that had not detected any problems with her teeth. Fiona is very thorough with her checks. Thank you Rock View!
I'd just like to say a massive thank you for the care and compassion shown during my cat, geri's illness and end of life care. Everyone there is so lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you once again xxx
After Archies adventures with a swallowed sewing needle we would like to express our thanks to all involved with his recovery, to Cvets for their incredible dedication and successful emergency out of hours op and to Fiona and team for marvellous follow up. He has recovered well
Will look forward to seeing you all tomorrow with Barkley. Who's caused all sorts of trouble to the practice one way or the other for the last 10years with his antics. But we do have a surprise for you all in the morning. Best vets practice we've ever known xx
Always been great with our dog, nothing is too much trouble and the staff are so lovely. For anyone with a new puppy- highly recommend you attend their puppy parties! We sadly only manage to make 2 but our boy loved it and it's great for socialisation and getting them used to going to the vets early on. Cooper loves going to the vets, just doesn't like going on the table!
After trying a few other vets i wouldnt take my pets anywhere but rockview now. My cat was mis diagnosed twice and had a pointless operation, i then brought him to rockview where his serious condition was diagnosed straight away. They operated and treated him and he was like a new cat. I was most impressed by the personal touch everyone there has from reception,,nurses and the vets ,,they actually care about your pets they arent just a name on a list,,keep up the fantastic work xxx
We visited Rock View last week for a very sad event. Our beloved Border Terrier Matty had become very poorly and it was time to allow him to chase rabbits and squirrels across the rainbow bridge.
I was a complete mess, we rescued Matty a couple of weeks, after I lost my mum and also whilst I was combating failing fertility treatment, from an unscrupulous breeder when he was 12 weeks old, by that time he had a brocken tail and was scared of his own shadow.
He was our little baby, my reason for getting our of bed in the morning at that time.... so you can get an idea how much part of our family he was.
The staff were fantastic, I do not know her name, but I will be indebted to her for the rest of my life. She was professional but caring and kind. She held my hand metaphorically but more importantly her held Mattys paw. She gave me the time I needed, she took a hair memento and event a paw print for me (even trimming between mattys paws first). Then helped me wrap him in his purple fleece blanket.
I cannot thank you all enough I am so grateful.

Fiona and all the team are amazing and so friendly, still can't believe Lizzie was running around and back to herself 2 days after breaking her leg and having surgery, the aftercare has been amazing. I would highly recommend the surgery, from being a pup she's has loved it there even with having treatments done!
I just wanted to thank you for the kindness and compassion you have shown us after we had to have our much-loved cat Alpi put to sleep on Friday. He was a huge part of our lives and you helped us get through a last traumatic time with him. We also thank you for all the care you gave him while he was still with us.
If it wasn't for Fiona and her team I wouldn't have my 3 year old cat Scampy here any longer , I took her in when she was unable to urinate . After an x-ray, blood tests etc nothing was showing as to why she couldn't which left us all stumped for an answer , it was a very serious situation as kidney failure and death usually happens within 24 -48 hours , luckily I noticed and got her in before any damage had occured to her organs and Fiona decided to give her a chance and operate to see if she could find out the reason why. Fiona found her uterus had somehow wrapped itself around her bladder which is very rare and she removed it freeing up her bladder so it could work again. Scampy had to have her bladder emptied a few times by needle extraction before the operation but the staff were brilliant at each visit. Scampy is now back to normal and into everything 🙂 she really is a little scamp and owes her life to all those at Rock View , a big big thank you from me and Scamps <3 xxxx
Wouldn't even give you one star if I could. You knew my cat was sick and on the way to you as you were emailed by the out of hour Vets we'd visited the night before yet you left her to die in a cat carrier (which she hates) full of her vomit in reception for over an hour as you prioritised a dog over her. Not even a nurse came to check on her. I had to deal with her death in front of my 2 young children. You admitted you failed her yet your senior vet Fiona didn't even have the courtesy to contact me. Had a phone call from a senior nurse who just kept telling me she knew how I felt as she had to put her own dog to sleep that day. Hardly empathetic when my beloved pet wasn't prioritised. Every day hurts.
Have been a client since moving in 2015. Everyone is brilliant, I have 2 labs the oldest is 13 with several problems, the team have been so good with her ,she is on several drugs and has to have regular blood tests . I would highly recommend them .
